What really pushed to the next level, I would say, you know, there's a few pinnacle things. I remember I put out the Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding outside remix. And I listened back to it the other day. And I was like, this is kind of like swaggy. I was like, I'm like, this is pretty sick. I was like, what was I thinking? Not like, what was I thinking? Like, oh, what'd you do? But like.
I don't know where I was at. Why did I choose to pitch the vocals? Why did I choose to have claps running the whole drop? Don't twerk shit or something. There's no rules. I was just doing whatever. DJ Snake hit me up off that remix.

And then the real one was when Sonny reached out for me to do the Where Are You Now remix. Yeah, what did that feel like? That's the remix. That's the remix. You know, Skrillex, he hit my manager up, I think, and I had just originals out.
And he hit my manager up and was like, dude, I have to know who Marshmello is. And Mo, my manager, was like, I'm not going to tell you. And he's like, come on, man. I'm like, it's fine.
whatever so like all that transpires and and we get in contact and you know we were really close and you know I released some songs on Ausla and but before that was the Where Are You Now remix because I remember I made that back in you know my parents basement and
that was the one well first of all i remember when i heard where are you now i was like this is where my head is with like marshmallow like the original song i was like damn i was like that's like what i've been chasing this sound this like this this vocal little chop that has like a really small reverb a really small room reverb on it and it's distorted and it has like
the deep house baseline, you know what I mean? It was everything that like I was going for. And I was like, oh man. And then they're like, yo, you want to remix? I'm like, yeah. So what I did was I put, you know, that, that like drum loop that we were talking about earlier, huge saw bass chopped up and made my own little melody of the lead and they loved it. And I was just so happy.
That was the one that really was the one because it kind of like, it was like everything that was going on at the time, you know, like all came together. Right there. With that remix.
Remix wise, yeah. It was a crazy, crazy time.
