So I think there's a strong possibility.

And the people connected with the situation knew that Conor Hellbuck had privately asked, you know, for something, right?

Either a trade or to explore a trade.

And and I think it's great that it stayed quiet.

It basically allowed the Winnipeg Jets to regain some of that leverage, maybe to say, let's call a team, let's let's make it happen.

But I don't think the deal was there.

And and I think they got pretty

close with like the Buffalo Sabres, for example, who had been rumored before the draft that hey the the Sabres want Connor Hellebuck.

And if they do, you're looking at the Atlantic, you're looking at the Eastern Conference, uh maybe it elevates the Buffalo Sabres.

But from what I was gathering is that

The Sabres weren't maybe willing to go to the the place that the Jets wanted the Sabres to go when it comes to players and prospects and all of that.

I think that it was rumored that the Sabres uh you know wanted the eighth overall pick for the fourth overall pick part of the trade.

And Kevin Chevaldeoff was like, No, I'm not giving you the you know the eighth overall pick.

It's basically the same thing as the fourth, so I don't want to do that.

So there was that.

But now that you know Connor Alabak has put in a little pressure, maybe trying to stir things up.

Now maybe you're gonna see the talk happen.
