And so it'll be imperative for the puck movers on the back end for the Montreal Canadiens, the Dobsons, Matheson, Hudson, those guys to be able to, A, use their feet to create passing lanes or get out of trouble, and then make quick transition plays to...
You want to come low and be very supportive from your forwards and centermen so that you're able to then come up with speed in five-man units and not get stretched out, which then the Carolina Hurricanes attack from.
Yeah, I've been, you know, this year I've been fortunate enough to be in Denver a few times where they've played really, really well and also really, really bad.
And they're not overly tight defensively.
And they take a lot of chances.
They take a lot of risks.
They play very loose.
They're not structurally sound that you need to be in the playoffs.
And if you look at, you know, their L.A.
series was really tight, albeit they won four games in a row, but they were tight games.
And then their most recent series against the Wilds, you know, they got a lot of leads.
They were just attacking and Minnesota kind of played in their hands the way they were trying to run and gun with them.
And now you've got Vegas, pretty structurally sound, play well defensively, and they force Colorado to make a lot of mistakes, and then they attack and find seams, and they play a little soft at times and make some high-risk plays and mistakes.
And their goaltending has always been a question mark.
They've rolled them out, and it's always been, are they going to hold up under pressure at the biggest moment?
And right now they have not been able to do that.
So I think there's a couple of different things, but I would say from a defensive standpoint, that's been a huge question mark for me.
And now scoring goals, they've gone cold for the most part in this series.
And then with respect to McKinnon, I think we saw a lot of that.
At the Olympics and now throughout the last number of years, he, like McDavid, they put a lot of pressure on themselves and therefore they put a lot of pressure, him especially, put a lot of pressure on their teammates to execute and get him the puck in exact moments when he's hitting seams with speed and whatnot.
