On the 19th of February this year, police have been looking at all these other potential crimes, but they've come out now and made it clear that the public needs to understand that's the breadth of this investigation.

And they've also said that it's a very complex investigation and it's likely to last many months.

Yes.

I mean, I think they've read all sorts of newspaper stories, TV stories that suggest there are other victims out there.

And they are actually waiting or hoping to talk to a woman in America.

And again, this flows from a media report where a woman claims that she was in 2010 –

taken to Andrew's former home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, for sexual purposes.

That's how she's described it through her lawyer.

Now, this is a woman who has been talking at least through her lawyer to one media outlet, but hasn't yet made a formal complaint.

And I think police look at her

um and think well you know if she exists there may be others um and they are trying to encourage um any anybody out there who may feel that they have um an allegation to make to police to come forward um i don't know that anybody else has come forward to thames valley police and they won't say that but they clearly feel that there is at least potential

for other people out there who might have something to say to the police.

And I guess at this point, we should point out that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has strongly denied any wrongdoing.

Well, they certainly found potential evidence.

You'll remember, I'm sure, and your listeners, the images of the police raiding his new home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk in mid-February.

They turned up unannounced.

It was a pre-dawn raid.

And the reason for doing raids like that is to seize potential evidence, which would have included certainly electronic devices,

owned by the former prince, but the likelihood is that there was documentation there that would be valuable to their investigation.

Now, we know that that search concluded, I think, on that day or at least the next day, but they spent a lot longer at his former home, Royal Lodge in Windsor, I think something like a week.
