A girl who worked for us died, tragically, in a car crash, and her mother couldn't cope with it and was going to see mediums.
And then she went to see this one woman who said, I keep seeing the actor who plays Doc Martin.

Anyway, these stories circulated amongst my family.
My sister-in-law's brother had killed himself very tragically after an MND diagnosis and left a lot of unfinished business.
And this talk of a medium who worked, in a way, it seemed, went.
So Philippa was telling my sister-in-law about this.
She said, well, I'll go with you.
And this lady who holds the sessions doesn't take payment, only asks for Christian names, and the Christian name of...
My sister-in-law was the name she had for the appointment and she invited them to record it with their phones and whatever.
And she said, and she just, she said, I've got, my wife, Philippa, was sitting in the background and she said, I've got, there's someone, is there an Alexander?
And it was my dad.
beetle through to say I'm really proud of you and I really wish I'd been a grandfather to Emily and all this wonderful stuff and I was in Australia on the west coast of Australia when Philippa said I haven't slept all night she'd sent me the transcript of the thing like that and I remember getting this news and thinking I'll have that I'll have that thank you that's fine because it's better than my unformed version
Kind of, yeah.
And then now... Although I never felt in a place that I would identify as bad at the time.
And you can be proud of his achievements.
And I found myself bragging about, you know, oh, my dad did this, yeah.
He was a conscientious objector at a time when it was hard to be a conscientious objector.
