I think what's worse is a cask that's not on, or one of them's off, and one of them can't.

That's almost worse than not even trying, for me.

I didn't know you don't necessarily need a cellar, do you?

There's an element people are looking for these days, isn't it?

And I see you get this sometimes when you open a pub and people go, bet there won't be any local beers on.

And you sip loads of local beers.

But there's a clear thing, isn't there, that people are looking for somewhere.

And I get it, but they're not always right, is that you feel like if something, we're here in Sheffield, and if something is brewed in Sheffield, or is brewed in Chesterfield, or in Barnsley, that it's somehow more authentic here, because it's comparatively local.

So I hear fish and chips near the sea.

That's a great analogy, actually, yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

That tastes nicer though, doesn't it?

Or a whisky in Edinburgh.

Or Guinness in Dublin.

I think one factor I would float is maybe the price inflation and the cost of a pint makes it feel like a more valued item.

And I think Guinness is a big part of that.

in it you go I think that's probably worth £5.60 in a way that I don't think about a pint of standard draft lager that will probably be north of that and I think when you are so say you are wet lead and you know wet lead wet is booze only and the price of a pint over I'm wet lead the price of a pint over 25 years has gone from I don't know let's say £2.50 to £5.00

But by increasing that price over time, which is, you know, all those factors, it's made people value, the pint isn't the thing on the side of you.

I went to Wetherspoons as a student and it was a burger and a beer for £1.99.

And you felt like the beer was essentially free.
