by me, it's a spoken word show, it's not a comedy show, but there will be the occasional joke, but it's merely, it's a good way to start the day, I think.

A good friend of mine said that I would get value from that because I would just meet people directly.
As you know, writing a book can be quite a solitary thing.
Then people read it in a very solitary way.
Occasionally people reach out on social media or you meet people at book events and stuff like that.
But I thought it'd just be a nice thing to go and do a spoken word show about it with people in the audience.
And there'd be an immediate value to that, which you don't often get with books.
And also, I'm retired.
I'm not doing anything else.
So you may as well play at them.
So I might as well do it.
And a friend of mine was telling me about a guy called Charlie Connolly, who wrote a book about the shipping forecast.
And he's turned that into an entire UK tour.
where he plays, I know, plays big venues.
Some people love the shipping forecast.
It's like a fetish.
