So I managed to master the mute button.
But it got to the stage where I threw a sandwich across the office.
I had a friend who just had a baby came in.
She asked, do you want a hold?
I was like, no, no.
I'm not holding your baby.
And she asked why.
I was like, I probably won't.
But rather, I don't want to throw your baby across the floor.
So it rarely does happen.
So with Tourette's, you're born with the gene.
So nine times out of ten, as I say, you are diagnosed as a younger child.
Adults obviously can be diagnosed as well.
But to have Tourette's, you have to have both a motor and a vocal tic present before the age of 18.
So I obviously had slight minor ones like blinking, coughing, clearing my throat.
and um just in mind then obviously increased so yeah the doctors have said that a traumatic event so two traumatic events from my case um one physical one mental they can progress things and make things a lot worse right um so sometimes adults get better so sometimes it can get better as you get older other times can get worse you can get older it varies so not one person is the same it's like a fingerprint basically or snowflake not one person is exactly the same yeah um
You can get, so you can have obviously tics and that kind of thing and have like a tic disorder.
which is slightly different to Tourette's.
