So let's be clear.

It is a form of electricity, but again, you have to take into account the physics.

And it's very short.

And by the time the lightning gets to a person, only a tiny fraction goes through the person at the same time.

Okay, lightning is not like a bullet.

It's a field.

It's like you had a fire hose that you were spraying at somebody.

So at the same time that the energy is trying to go through the person, a large amount of energy is also going around the person

and to ground, okay?

By the time that energy gets to ground, the part of the lightning that's trying to get through the person gives up.

I mean, there's a very small amount that goes through.

It's like trying to pour a huge bucket of water through a straw.

The person's the straw.

Only a small amount will go through the straw.

The vast majority goes around the outside.
