Uh um I know we're all looking forward to Christopher Nolan.
And uh you know, on our podcast we've been reading the Odyssey in a in a book club, you know, book by book and I've been returning to it.
And I think it is
To say it's my favourite work of ancient literature would would I think be to to un you know underestimate it really.

constantly surprising.
I I remember when I first encountered the Odyssey, it was not as a whole book, it was in you know stories from the Odyssey and there was Odysseus versus the Cyclops and uh all those kind of things.
When I first came across it
As a whole, wouldn't rather than just as snippets.
And I kind of assumed that
You know, it's probably the second work of Western literature chronologically.
I'd sort of assumed
The the second work of ancient literature would be pretty simple.
No, that you know, if you think of the history of literature it would start simple and get more complicated until, you know, you got to the complexities of postmodernism.
