But after having spent so many years in the service industry, even if someone is terrible, and I guess there's probably a boundary, like there's like if they throw food on me or if there's something that's really just like ghastly, I don't believe in the punishment tip.
Because you never know what someone's day is.
You never know what's going on in the kitchen.
Like you never know what they're going through.
So I do not engage in what I call the punishment tip.

I think of it in terms of like where I am at financially.
And if I were to tip like 20%.
for me is like, it's beyond my means.
And I'm like, so I think of it as like doing like 10% or if I don't tip, I make sure that I'm really joyful and kind and pleasant.
And I don't leave an imprint that has like a negative taste.
I make sure that the interaction is positive and kind and patient.
