That's for them to fundamentally misunderstand
the meaning of the Irish tricolour, the history of its origins and the meaning and the experience of what it is to be Irish.
To be really Irish and patriotic is to understand the history of your own country and to understand, maybe above all else, that we haven't finished our own journey to full unity and to full freedom and to understand the divisive, toxic nature
politics and toxic ideas help no one.
That helps no Irish person, man, woman or child.

We've run symposiums and consultations all across the country.
We've done it in the United States of America, in Australia and in Britain.
And of course, as a political party, we have to be generating that conversation, generating those ideas.
