It's one of the few policies I think this country has come up with that politicians across the sphere worked in it together.
And part of that is public only contracts for consultants.
And she is saying that she wants to make sure that is implemented.

It will optimise, for example, machines they have in hospitals can be used at weekends.
They can be used at 10 o'clock at night, not just from nine to five.
She wants more consultants working weekends and into the evenings.
And she's going to see now at what level there is compliance with this.
Yeah, there is.
But she sees, she basically is arguing that pretty much all the problems in the hospital come down to this, to having consultants working more or less around the clock.
You beat bottlenecks, you get better, you optimise the best use out of the hospital.
So this unlocks it.
Yeah, so the private hospitals will have expensive machines.
There's a really interesting piece in the Sunday Times where she spoke about going into the matter and checking the charts on the utilisation of a CT scanner.
And she noticed that you can see the red and blue lines of the heat map of when it's being used properly.
And she saw on that chart that at Friday at 3.30pm, it was going blue.
And she's like, why is this happening?
So that's a kind of visual representation of what she's doing.
She was lucky this week as well, not just because there is cross-party support for the Sláintecair policy.
