Um th that overshoot day is shocking and and too well too too poorly advertised, I think.
But um I think also poor
countries when I was growing up in Ireland it certainly was far more circular than I know it today.
And circularity is a term, but I think just look back on and how you lived maybe in how you valued thing things, your clothes, your
what you used, you extended the product life, you just didn't get a new one when you felt like it.
Um, and I myself can say I've grown into that a little.
But I think we the circular economy is a transformation of an economic style from linear to move away from that.
Um and it is very kind of based on policy and regulations and funding, whereas in countries like that it it's logical.
And circular economy, anyone who knows me will tell you, I love the logic of it.
It's back to logic.
It's decomplicating.
We have so much to learn from the global south, for example.
Um, I work with the World Business Council for Sustainability Development who developed the global circularity protocol at Times.
And they have a huge amount of companies, heavy hitters, the apples of the world, the Amazons, the Toyotas, they are investing a striking amount of Capex into transforming their models.
to create more circular economy based revenue streams.
And we could spend all day talking about what they're doing.
But just to say that they themselves encourage global south companies to and countries to communicate with them and learn from them and i um drive innovation with them.
So it's out there, it's happening.
