I know it's maybe cheating the answer a little bit, but I don't see when we did the episode on Zanardi's 99 season, all the ingredients that were bad between him and the team, between him and that generation of F1 cars, between him and his own confidence, between him and Ralph Schumacher.

The only change is a BMW engine turns up, the car is slightly better.

Johnny Herbert, I mean, fair play to Johnny Herbert for everything he did in his career, considering what he was up against, but not someone you thought was a top, top F1 driver.

I still think, even though he got found out in the way he did at Williams, Frentzen was a top driver if he'd had the right attitude in the right place at the right time.

As he proved at Jordan, he looked so good at Sauber before that, I think on pure talent there, and on a bit of execution of what he achieved.

Frenzen's come closer to a title than any of the others on that list, certainly, despite the others also having very underdoggy circumstances at times.

Fisichella, I'd also put in the got a bit found out list when it came to it, having probably looked at least as talented as any of them coming in.

I'd put him second in that list, but I think it's Frenzen's miles ahead for me there.

Yeah, I was thinking all roads lead to McLaren here as well, because Mercedes seems like the kind of partner who you properly get into this with, and you can do it in a very well-aligned kind of way.

Newey as well is still going to McLaren when he goes to McLaren, regardless of driver rates being banned, because the reasons he leaves Williams are entirely personnel and decision-based.
