You know, these sorts of really insulting and denigrating terms.

Well,

I'm glad you asked the question that way, Yasmin, because you're right to point out what we're seeing again, an expansion of the Israeli presence in southern Lebanon.

That is really going to be a sign to everybody involved that Israel is not backing down, is not going to be stepping away from the fight with Hezbollah.

even if they're going to stick with the parameters.

So maybe what we're seeing already, continuing fire by the Israelis and sometimes by Hezbollah, but it's contained in southern Lebanon.

The thing that started this, that really broke the ceiling between a fight between Israel and Hezbollah and a conflict between the U.S.

and Iran, is when the Israelis have fired into Beirut,

or when Hezbollah has fired into northern Israel.

As long as the conflict stays within those bounds and doesn't exceed that geographical territory, then there's a possibility that this could just persist.

That could just be the status quo.

Well, for one thing, I can't imagine why the Gulf nations would want to pony up $300 billion to rebuild a country that, let's face it, Yasmin, could just be destroyed again tomorrow.

Because the Israelis, again, are not necessarily part of this deal.

they could decide to wake up the Israelis and to attack Iran on their own.

And even though that's very unlikely, that would mean that all of that money going into rebuilding would just be destroyed again.

Now, also, there's no commitments from any of the Gulf countries.

We haven't heard of anybody saying they're going to put up the cash.

There hasn't even been really any public expressions of interest, unlike there was with the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Yeah.

There's no money.
