We wanted to make it about the Tubasi family.
So not just Aida, but also her husband Mahmoud.
We interviewed them on the roof, not of their home, but on the home they were staying, I believe it was Mahmoud's father's home.
They had been turfed out of their actual home, which was right down the street.
And that what they could see, we did the interview on their roof, we could see their actual home.
Maybe half a kilometer away.
And you know, they were pointing at some of the settlers who were still there traipsing around on their yard.
That's right.
So one of the things that they that uh you know, Mahmoud told me was how one of the two of the older settlers, and these are mostly teenagers, but some of them are are older.
They seem to be run by older people, came to him.
They were armed with long rifles.
And they said either you can die like a dog in your house
Or
uh you can leave.
Uh and they said you have one hour.
And so they left.
And they haven't been able to go back.
Now, the thing that the Chubasi family is is saying and and you know one of the things that we've been hearing constantly from other victims of settler violence is that they have told the military and the police, and the military and the police have, you know, done investigations, collected evidence, done things like that.
Uh and no arrests have been made.
So as we were speaking to Ida, um this group of young men pulled up, backed up at somewhat high speed towards us while we were standing there.
