So, yeah, I find that especially impressive.
And in terms of his stats individually...
It's always a little bit tricky to lord a defender based on anything cumulative.
That often kind of just highlights the team style, or certainly anything over individual proficiency.
One of the things all of his numbers do show is compared to his teammates, just how busy he is.
He's the one making the most defensive actions per 90 minutes, the most heavy clearances, tackles interceptions.
And it just gives that impression that he's the one leading from the front, defending the box, defending from the front.
And yeah, I think underlines how central he is to their success at the back.
Hugely.
I mean, he is pretty much Norwich's creativity this season.
If you look at what he's done just from open play, he's created 24% of Norwich's overall chances, which is simply ridiculous.
Only Jack Grealish has a slightly higher percentage for his side all season, and those two rank ahead of everyone else by quite some margin.
And I think that perhaps highlights the problems for those two sides.
So much rise on one key man for their creativity on the ball that if they're having an off day or they're well-martialed or prepared for or kind of marked out the game, then, yeah, it's huge problems for those sides.
And then, yeah, from open play, just two players have created more this season.
If you actually exclude Man City players, then you can say Buendia creates chances from open play more regularly than any other Premier League player this season, which is quite some feat.
He also mentioned what he does off the ball.
He makes more tackles for 90 minutes than any other Premier League attacker.
But then going through his scoring record, he's had 32 shots this season.
I think only three players have had more without scoring.
