But as far as like this, first off, what a human being, what an example, handles the media like 100% perfectly, very humble, not about himself, not out there rah-rah, everything.
It's just business.
And, you know, I had the pleasure of coming up with somebody you guys are familiar with from the World Series last year, Mark Pryor, who's a pitching coach.
Like, I was there when he arrived.
And I tell people, like, Skeens is, like, I was with Mark Pryor, and that's how Skeens arrived.
But what Skeens has done is, like, take it to another level.
Now, Pryor had an unfortunate injury that kind of sent him on a different path.
But, like, Paul Skeens...
is like he's almost like a different level.
And I guess I'll explain it this way.
It's like he just decides he's going to do something different every game.
And as a former pitcher, it's like, wait, he decided today I'm going to throw, you know, Nationals throw seven lefties in the lineup.
Well, I'm going to throw 40% changeups today.
You know, and it's like, wait, it's like you're that good that you can do this.
And one thing I've noticed of him lately is I almost feel like he's like, you know what?
You know, they're trying to control my innings, which I understand.
They're trying to keep me healthy, which I appreciate.
But I think I'm going to see how many less than 10 pitch innings I can get.
And I'm going to force myself into the eighth, seventh and eighth inning because I have perfect games going or no hitters going or I get a six pitch inning because I'm just going to make you make contact where I want you to make contact.
So it's like a combination of a power pitcher that's really good.
