I think when he stops worrying about the walks and goes back to attacking these dudes,
He has just crazy, crazy stuff.
And I keep saying, you're going to wake up.
Everybody's complaining right now is going to wake up to a six innings, 14 punch out outing from him and be like, oh, this guy's the best.
Hopefully from the Pirates' sake, that's this next game.
But hopefully from your sake, it's not.
Yeah, it would come up at times, and I tell people all the time, like, when I'm talking to you, you don't realize you're almost talking to a Triple Crown winner here in walks, hit batsmen, and wild pitches.
I think Chan O'Park got me into one of the subjects, one of the categories that year.
But, yeah, it would come up, and I always...
this was true.
Like I, people said I was too nice at times, but I always got away with being nice because I, I was effectively wild and, and kind of like, I, you know, I got away with it because it was like, he don't know where it's going.
That's why he hit me.
He wasn't trying to hit me necessarily, but it didn't let them dig in the box.
And I think that, you know, I look at Chandler, he has such a bright future.
I think one of the things that's been, that when I look at this Chandler situation, it's been interesting is like, you have this, I know the next person you're going to probably ask me about is Skeens.
But you're everybody's trying to like link up to be schemes.
And that's that's a level that there's not many people in history that have been been like that in a two year, three year span.
And I think sometimes just go be yourself.
you know aspire to be close to him but sometimes if you're trying to be him that kind of can work against you go go be the dude that you are and and I feel like Chandler's getting some great advice Bill Murphy's an excellent pitching coach Donnie Kelly you know loves loves Bubba and is in his corner completely and this this is going to work out it's just going to take a little bit of time maybe
Well, I mean, when you start crunching numbers, like his numbers, the only numbers I can come up with that are comparable are Doc Gooden's first two years, which is crazy when you look at those numbers.
