Guys, I want to win not the war on the suburbs with you, but I want to win a battle in the war on suburbs with you.
And the way that we can solve this is by doing something very simple.
It is banning bike lanes.
Bike lanes, as we know, are not used by anyone.
They are certainly not used by bicyclists.
And all that they do is they add needless congestion to suburban Americans who use cars.
I was just in Australia.
Other countries, they don't love cars in the way that Americans do.
We have had a love-hate relationship with our cars since they were first created.
And bike lanes serve basically no purpose.
What do they do?
They take up a lane of traffic.
It should be used for cars.
And you still have bicyclists in the car lanes.
So my proposal is that.
Ban bike lanes.
Are bike lanes a big deal in the suburbs?
I thought they're just in the cities.
They're in the city because they are part of the war on the suburbs.
