I think it's reflected uh the the ongoing challenges with credit are still reflected in the overall growth numbers.
that we see uh for the industry, we're still, you know, about halfway
only about halfway back to where we were pre recessions, where when we were growing about four, four and a half percent.
And we're growing, you know, a little over one and a half towards two percent uh in two thousand thirteen and we think we'll
continue to see much of the same heading into twenty fourteen, uh, barring any, you know, drastic uh public policy changes which we don't see on the horizon.
So it's still a a top concern.
We still have lots of programs um within the association and you know, working with franchise business networks and um some other groups.
talking about uh credit access as a as a huge uh priority for the industry.
You know, we've done small business lending summits the last couple of years, um, which created a
really great dialogue between the lending community and the franchise community.
And I think, you know, while while from an association standpoint you may not see as much I think what's happened is
Um, a lot of our supplier members have really taken uh that on themselves.
And one would be Fran Data, which has done some events around the country um and has continued to do some events around the country in partnership with us.
And the other uh is Bofly, which has brought uh some lenders together uh with franchisors to talk about the importance of credit access.
And you know, really it's just about creating
relationships and, you know, that's what business is a lot about, that's what franchising is a lot about and that's what lending uh ultimately is a lot about.
Um, you know, trusting your lending partner
uh making sure that lenders trust
uh franchise doors uh in the lending process and ultimately the
uh they're assessing risk and we want to demonstrate our members wanna demonstrate that their brand is a is a is a good investment and inherently less risky than, you know, perhaps another investment for their franchisees if they bring 'em into their system.
