the real reason that they want a salary cap in place is because when you look at the franchise values in other sports, they have been rocketing up, you know, in recent years and major league baseball's franchise values have been relatively stagnant.
And that's an area where if you have a fixed amount of payroll, then you understand what your budget is and you understand what's going in and out.
And at the end,
Because of that security, because of that knowledge, people are going to be willing to pay more for the franchises.
They know that they're not going to have to necessarily go out and compete with Steve Cohen, giving Juan Soto $765 million.
