I'm stating a fact.
They did it when nobody else thought any of those.

I saw someone write, and I only brought this up because I thought it was intriguing, trading Mendoza if you're the Raiders.
What you would get in return, a whole bunch of high-value picks, and the part of this that made me think is that they're interested in Malik Willis.
If they decide Malik Willis is somebody who could help them and then trade the number one pick and get a whole bunch in return, is that a way for them to become better quicker?

The only way you can see it, I don't know how to make a conclusion other than we haven't seen him play.
Again, if they believe of all the information they get that he's their best โ again, because they're really desperate to get a quarterback, eventually a long-term quarterback, they'd be in a position to just push that pick through and say, okay, let's try him.
It could be very detrimental, though.
It could be.
Because if you waste a number one pick again and then you continue to spin your โ you have to be โ I don't know how you're 100% certain.
They made a proper choice.
