But like the end of the day, someone isn't gonna sit through an hour-long lecture or a week long lecture on like how every piece of the system works.
You need to sort of distill your message.
Down to something that's simple, consumable, and it may be lossy, right?
There may be nuance that it misses.
Some folks, you know, I myself included, right?
If you are overly reductive in your messaging, right, it can sometimes come off as dishonest, right?
Because you're you're not touching on the nuance.
A key is like progressive disclosure.
This is the sort of headline.
And then you can get into the nuance through things like
Like, you know, we have a whole blog series that we call This Shit Is Hard, where we we drill into facets of what we do and talk about the depths that we go to and how hard it is to make it look so simple.
And I think a lot of people don't really appreciate some of the lengths that we go to to, you know, work with different SCA tooling or try and avoid CVEs from happening in the first place, which is sort of funny.
Right.
Like folks sort of just equate us with zero CVEs and these days zero malware.
But you know, there are ways where we go beyond just trying to patch things faster than anyone else.
Yeah.
We try and do things that keep you from having to patch at all in the first place.
Things like, you know, the OpenSSF compiler hardening flags that we throw that make things slightly more memory safe in C-style languages.
or building Rust alternatives, which we've been doing, you know, but we've been funding some of them and and packaging some of those things for longer than anyone else.
So like the sudo RS project that rewrites the sudo in Rust or the UU Utils project we've had packaged for years now.
