It's just they are outrageously good with Peyton.
I think an interesting question here is, what is best for Peyton?
Peyton's career yeah and that's not what the team should prioritize the guys prioritize winning but you're trying to keep everybody happy if you're Peyton Watson do you want more minutes with Nicole everybody else is like I want the Nicola minutes it's I'm I'm gonna score I'm gonna boost my numbers I'm gonna look awesome but if you're Peyton Watson I kind of am like um you know if you want to play me like half my minutes without him I'm good perfect yeah
I think I'll come in, play defense and spot up when Yoke is in.
And then when you need somebody to take the ball and actually score in that second unit, I could do that for you.
Yeah, and I think, honestly, Peyton's been, like I said, he's been really good about being willing and able to adjust up and down, like scale is the word I used with Jalen Pickett last night when I asked him a question, kind of similar to this.
I'm more worried about some of the other guys in terms of being able to scale.
Because right now, you get to make mistakes because David Adleman's like, well, you have to keep playing because I don't have anybody else.
It's just you.
Like, I don't have another point guard.
It's just Jalen Pickett and Bruce Brown.
That's it.
When everybody's back, it becomes, hey, can you get comfortable and make a play in the five?
Like you can do stuff immediately.
You can't settle in.
You can't kind of read the defense.
You have to come in and be like ready to do the thing and make the shot or get the rebound or get the stop.
there you don't get any settle in time and i think that that's really difficult to just come in cold and do to just and especially i've had a lot of sympathy for you see this now right where it's well why weren't these guys doing it before and a lot of people will point at the coaching and i think there's i think it's a legit criticism i also think some of this is the reality of just this is how hard it is
tim hardaway jr is kind of the proof of this of like tim has acknowledged like yeah this wasn't easy for me when i was when i was younger but i've been doing this a long time so it's second nature for me to come in i play the same way every single minute i'm on the floor if i play 10 minutes if i play five minutes i'm taking the same shots
I'm making the same decisions versus I think the young guys have, have had to be like, should I do this?
