Former Trump administration National Security Advisor John Bolton has pleaded guilty to illegally retaining classified information, sealing a deal with federal prosecutors that could allow him to avoid a prison term.
Bolton, who became an outspoken critic of President Trump after serving in the Republicans' first administration, is scheduled to be sentenced on October 28th in Maryland.

Venezuela's earthquake death toll has risen to 920, Assembly Head Jorge Rodriguez said in an address to the nation.
3,300 people are injured.
Another 172 remain trapped.
Venezuela's political opposition has set up a website to track missing people, showing more than 58,000 people unaccounted for.
That exceeds the government's official count.
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neil Kashkari says that signs of widespread inflation led him to pencil in one interest rate increase for this year.
