We got what we did in the end, but we still remained and retained the confidence, the trust,
and have the credibility of our service users.
Not entirely Why not?
Because I think they're a part of an essential service.
I mean, there's a lot of our citizens today that need hospital transfers and so forth.
I know they're operating 46% of their 100% of their service, which is a great service.
And we couldn't thank them enough for what they do.
But if you have two or three people in an area that have heart attacks and strokes at the same time, and there's only one ambulance assigned to that area,
Do they have to decide which one they're going to go to first?
Will the dispatcher really send them?
You don't have the full service there.
And as an essential service, as an essential service, like certain sectors within government organisations can strike.
Like, my understanding is that the union rightly so negotiated on an agreement and recommended it to their workers.
And a certain amount of them weren't happy with it, which is understandable.
But there's other ways and means and mechanisms.
You know, I know there's all different work practices that are coming in and there's changes for them as well.
But they're an essential service.
And that's my bottom line.
They're an essential service that's needed.
