But yeah, I've had a really long, varied career.
I've done just about everything from running nightclubs to biotech to teaching high school physics to high tech and doing mergers and acquisitions.
And then back in 2010, kind of left the entire corporate world and dove into photography and did commercial work and a lot of
product work in coverage and editorial for magazines and whatnot for a lot of years in the defense industry and then moved my way over to portraiture which I've been doing since about 2018.
And I say all of that because every one of those careers
Helps you understand people more.
By understanding people more, I've learned to understand myself more.
So I know what it feels like to be weird and fearful in front of the camera and have all that apprehension when you're about to get photographed.
And when you turn it on yourself, you feel all of that.
And then you get overwhelmed with empathy for the other person in front of the camera.
So as a photographer, I
I am drawing from all of my experience and seeing other people be uncomfortable, seeing how I deal with it with them, and then giving myself all that self-talk back, right?
It's not that bad.
You're beautiful the way you are.
You're this is exactly the moment that you're supposed to be here.
So, in order for me to, you know, take self-portraits or do all of these different things, writing, photography, AI, I've got to
look at what I do with other people and just reflect it back on myself.
So I don't know if that really answered your question, but that's the whole origin story and why I kind of do the things that I do today.
