How do you see objectivism as
offering a way into the issue of free speech.
Yeah, so if I get somebody in front of a news TV camera, point a gun at them and, you know, say I'm going to shoot them if they don't say XYZ in front of the camera, that might be an example of violating this right.

Yeah, so sometimes I wonder whether when people say stuff like, Oh, I d you know, ideas don't matter but persons' beliefs don't matter.
It's like a slightly off way of trying to capture the intuition, which I do think is good intuition, that there's certain questions that reasonable people can disagree about.
You know, classic case might be like scientific questions that um experts in the field, you know, they they've got evidence uh going both ways and they uh they come down different uh ends of things and there's an ongoing debate happening, but
You know, it's just har it's a question that's hard to answer.
It's hard to know the answer to with certainty, so reasonable people can disagree about it.
And I wonder sometimes whether this like, well, a person's beliefs don't matter is like um a way of like not quite correctly capturing that intuition, that there's just certain things where, yeah, I can see where that person's coming from, even though I think they're wrong.

I mean Dave Rubin definitely comes to mind, right?
You know, um having Ben Shapiro on his show to talk about how he thinks gay marriage is horrible and immoral and then going out to dinner afterwards and laughing about it or you know
husband.
Yeah, right.
While while Dave is the is is married to a man.

something like don't valorize disagreement for its own sake.
