Never even crossed my mind that it was occurring or that it could potentially become a very big problem.
Right.
And I feel like it's sold as kindness and empathy towards people who are hurting.
And so you'll get people like me and my wife who feel bad.
We don't want people to suffer.
We don't want people to get hurt.
But we don't also think, or I didn't think, of all of the potential implications of what that meant.
You know, like you just very clearly articulated there.
I'll give you just a quick example.
That's kind of personal to me.
You know, I recently was talking to a North Carolina public school teacher who has a ton of kids in her class that don't speak any English at all.
And she has an app on her phone that she uses to translate every single instruction to the kid in Spanish that she just goes, you know, speaks into it, and then tells the kid, and that slows down the classroom, a ton, and I also learned that's not unique.
it happens all over the place.
And again, I wasn't thinking about this, you know, I wasn't thinking, oh, you know, this could this could hurt kids in public schools because, you know, everyone, people don't speak English.
I had no idea.
And I just think, you know,
that's part of the problem.
You just don't think through these kind of implications when you're just feeling bad for someone.
