Really though?
You lose control of that.
It's not like if my day is busy and I don't have time to go running that I'm going to freak out.
So if you're on a training plan and you have to miss your day.
It's kind of...
really though like so so if you're if you're on a training plan and you have to if I'm in a training plan it's a bit different I like Jake was talking about I would diarise my training plans I would get in touch with YMU I would say these runs are non-negotiable you know or like we can move them but they have to happen this day type thing I love lifting weights like I love lifting weights it's a really I lift weights three times a week at least with a friend of mine I've lifted weights with him for maybe 14 years wow his name's Sean Stafford I think you maybe know him yeah
I know Sean Steyer well I know of him yeah yeah he's a wonderful he's just like that's a good guy to lift weights with beautiful heart like lovely dude just amazing guy I love spending my three hours a week with him first thing in the morning Monday Wednesday Friday if I can if I'm able to and it really it does a lot for me that and even on like when I'm away and there's no kind of gym and like I run every day it's not quite the same like if I had to pick one I'd probably go with weights
I just feel, I don't know.
It's really, really good for my mental health.
If I go four or five days without lifting, I'm noticeably a little bit aggravated.
Jiu-jitsu is a good one as well.
I don't train anywhere near as much as I'd like to.
I used to train five times a week.
Then I got into these larger challenges and I didn't want to hurt myself before doing them.
And they take months to prepare for.
So I just stopped rolling a bit.
But there's another incredible guy with an amazing heart called Paxton Gibbons, who's a third Dan black belt under Roger Gracie.
And I roll with him and he is like a Sean.
He's just this incredible presence and person and a really amazing guy.
It's funny when you talk about this because the two things that bring you the most joy in those aren't the running, which is solo.
