Lots of job loss today.
Lots of job loss today.
Yeah. That's a good, yeah. Did you feel your job was unnecessary? Do you feel this was justified? I'm curious. This is not me trying to be judgmental. I'm just curious.

Because if I were an IRS agent and I lost my job because of Doge, I would be like, ah, well, I am kind of a scumbag. But if I was like a National Parks Ranger, I'm like, hey, I didn't do it. I serve a purpose. I've been doing my thing. This is what we're here for. By the way, write your congressman.

Write your congressman or congresswoman and tell him or her to keep their hands off the national parks. It's a tiny, tiny fraction of the budget, and it provides a very important service to American citizens, to our lands, and it makes back its budget every year by a magnitude of about 10. I don't see a deficit there. That's not a deficit.

The post office loses money, even though it's federally funded and you're giving them stamps. That's something that you probably shouldn't cut. But at the same time, You can say it loses... The national parks don't lose money.

They pay for themselves.
They pay for themselves.
Yeah, but the national parks don't lose money. In fact, I would be fully in favor of cutting a number of things and sending all of the money to the national parks. We probably spend more on military bases in, like, Germany. Would not be shocked. We don't need... Europe can defend itself. Cold War's over. For now. It's good. Take the money, spend it on the national parks.
