So I was chatting with Conall last night in conversation with Owen and in fairness to him, he did acknowledge that there are difficulties within
the way that the application process works, where disadvantaged communities find it harder to find people who are going to be able to fill in the forms.
They find it harder to get long term leases and they find it nearly impossible to own their own properties.
And it has been set up in a way that in the past that was a massive blocker.
Now, it does sound like there's at least some sense that they're trying to rebalance that.
Probably not happening fast enough.
It's probably not happening in a way that is structured.
Really what we need here is a community organisation staffed by lawyers and people who can draft legislation who are willing to work on behalf of clubs, even though they might not be a member of that club, to fill in these forms and make sure they're getting the grants and have them checked by the department first before it goes in.
But I think we're a long way away from that.
We'll follow up on that story as well over the next while, but it would,
