Um, that she kept, she keeps insisting she's British.

She's British.

Exactly.

I'm not Irish.

I'm British, which my character absolutely cannot follow or comprehend.

But I think people here will know what she's talking about.

Yeah.

But, uh,

My character and most Americans were just absolutely baffled by it.

I would think I was about nine or ten years old.

My parents, it just happened, my father is Irish, although I don't know any of our ancestors, but...

that's his descent and um and he he's Broderick he's Broderick and uh he and my mom uh just drove around for a holiday and then stayed at a bed and breakfast in Donegal and uh loved it and then they went back and then they brought they rented a house one summer and brought all of us kids and uh

I kept doing that, and then a little house came available, and my dad bought it, and that's how it started.

So I spent summers there, starting at about nine or ten, I think.

I guess so, yeah.

My father was not...

I guess he was bohemian after he became an adult, but he grew up in New Hampshire.

His father was a letter carrier, you know, a postman.

And so pretty – not the opposite of bohemian, you know, a sort of working class, probably conservative –

New Hampshire person.
