Recently catching up on a whole host of podcasts, and I thought I'd ask you a question that runs through my mind each time you talk about bank accounts for children.

We're a married couple who've always had the notion of putting regular amounts away each month for our kids, which we do in addition.
Any birthday or Christmas money above pocket money amounts are also paid into these accounts.
We don't anticipate either of our two boys, ages eleven and seven, needing to access this money ahead of them turning 18.
Both boys have a Lloyd's Young Saver account, which we set up for them at birth.
Which currently has a rate of two point two three per cent up to five K and then naught point seven five percent on balances above that.

Our eleven year old has just over eleven thousand in his account, and the seven year old has around nine thousand.
