Sometimes that type of stuff happens.
And I've never gotten a clear explanation for why.
But you know, maybe it was the fact that he went to Wake Forest and they were, you know, the league was drafting all power fives or power fours uh this year in the draft.
I don't know.
But whatever it was, I think as a change up for right now, yes, like you you're in need of an explosive play, like bring him in first down, give him a shot.

You need a shot in the arm, you need somebody to get around the edge.
You're you're getting a certain advantage on the O-line, but you're not fully taking advantage of it because of the quickness of the running backs.
Get him in there.
The question I would have is: is he even RB three if someone gets hurt?
Because the guy who gets forgotten about on this roster was last year's camp darling, Xavier Scott, who was, for my money, the best pass protector that they had last year, not named CJ Hamm in the backfield.
And also was fine when they gave him the football.
Like he didn't, you know, light your socks on fire, but you know, he was serviceable when he was in the backfield, had a great touchdown catch against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He could catch the ball as a former wide receiver.
Is he gonna be ahead of Claiborne to start and then develop him for a year?
Because what happens so often with the draft is we get so excited about all the draft picks, it's new players.
We want to see everything they bring to the table.
And then it's like, oh yeah, they have to learn how to play football in the NFL.
So maybe we should let them learn how to play football in the NFL.
And I think that that's probably Claiborne.
