And I'm like, I'm not really buying it, but okay, all right.
But when you hear that enough times, you start thinking, maybe there is something to this.
So anyway- It's not like it has to just be one.
Yeah, two things can be true at the same time.
And so this goes on over the course of two years.
And literally, after the election in 2000, we kind of heated up, but-
We're seeing a bunch of stuff in Texas, we're seeing a bunch in Missouri, and now in Iowa, it's all over the place.
Finally, it's a certain point where we're like, I don't think we're gonna catch this guy.
I make a request to close this case on my end in Chicago, because I'm just like, we're chasing a ghost, what's the point?
And it's on the desk when my supervisors sign off to close the case, when on a Saturday, I remember this vividly, it's like three in the morning,
And you get that dreaded call from the duty desk, right?
And that's never a good call because, you know, usually, hey, I got to run out on something or something bad has happened.
And I get the call and it's the duty agent going, hey, not for nothing, but a guy named Art Williams was just picked up at the House of Blues hotel.
Okay.
And I'm like, okay.
And he's got a note that is extremely similar to the one you've got.
And I said, what do you mean?
Is it sandwiched?
Yeah, it's sandwiched.
And he's got $60,000 worth of it.
