And sell a lot of other cars elsewhere, of course.

Of course.

But for Williams at the time, I think our revenues were 150 million.

So let's say they spent everything they earned.

So you multiply a deficit, let's call it, and just to make the maths easy, let's call it a 500 million pound deficit over 10 years.

that's $5 billion less that you've had to invest in people, machinery, process systems, and what have you.

So, you know, almost impossible to catch up.

So the cost cap coming in at least made it equal among all the teams in terms of how much you could spend annually on people, on systems, on CapEx and upgrades.

Of course, it's a double-edged sword too.

And I think it's only just starting to sort of unwind in a sense because all the big teams, of course, went and bought any piece of kit they'd ever want ahead of cost cap.

They had spent all that extra money on process and systems.

Those were still there.

And so playing catch up is actually hard when you have to do it all within the cost cap system.

So, for example, we're still making trade-offs between, you know, do we put in a new accounting system or parts of an accounting system or do we put an upgrade on the car?

Well, I wouldn't call it unfair because we knew what it was going in.

And I think it is working in a sense.

I go back to last season.

I mean, this season, we've started off afresh.

But last season, I think we were all within a second of each other.

And I thought it was a brilliant season.
