You know, taking the LA Dodgers and the LA Lakers and now the Yankees and could you imagine private equity in in in world football?
I mean uh n not to saying that there is some ho holier than now biblical statement to be made about World Cups being every four years, but as we see the intensity and the high performance demands on on soccer players consistently
The fact is the idea of having a men's world cup every two years, the fact of having a club World Cup, like we saw last summer, and we can have an hour long conversation about how ridiculous that was.
uh having that every two years.
This is literally a power play between FIFA, who sees that the European Confederation UEFA constantly is making money with the Champions League, the Women's Champions League, the chan the UEFA Conference League, the UEP UEFA Europa League, not to mention the Euros that they do every four years.
And the and the and the they're flush with cash and they're flush with resources than F FIFA
I mean that's what money does.
It creates competition.
And Gianni Infantino wanted to be the guy, uh being the president of FIFA, not understanding that it's a non profit organization that makes him a steward of the game.
He's more obsessed with the the the money aspect of it.
And and truth be told, certainly.
We know that money is rife everywhere, as I said off the top.
But the fact is this is a sport internationally that when you try to touch that third rail about altering the aspect of of of the game, m selling it off to private equity, you've certainly seen this revulsion around the world.
But there is another side to this, and I wonder politically if Infantino doesn't try to play certain confederations in certain parts of the globe off each other, because the one thing is true there are haves and have nots, not only in club soccer, but international soccer.
And in international soccer, the have nots tend to be in the global south.
Sometimes you can look at particularly at South America, you can look at Africa.
They have been conspicuously either on the fence.
Because they want to see whomever's gonna come in, if you know UEFA's gonna offer up their own candidate or anybody else wants to come in, even if it's Victimon Tagliani, that they want to see what resources are are offered to them because the one thing Gianni Infantino has said, I'll keep the cash flowing.
And though even though we've seen UEFA and CONCACAF and and the Asian Confederate Confederation come out and kind of wag their finger
