And it's a lot of nice words to say, but we'll really see over the next World Cup cycle as those kids are getting developed, both on the men's and women's side, for U-20 championships in CONCACAF, trying to qualify for the Olympics, being successful at continental tournaments.

These all matter because it shows a shared purpose in making this not only a successful sport for Canada within the context of North America, but making us what I believe we can be, which is a top 20 nation and even trying to push in to be a top 15 nation.

And as someone who has covered the sport, much like Dave has covered the sport too for a while, when you see moments, and really Dave wrote about this after the Croatia-Portugal game, you understand kind of the emotions involved.

And, I mean, I even close my eyes now thinking about that game against South Africa and Stephanie Stacchio's 92-minute winner and the Canadian fans falling over themselves in the stands.
And just being right on the field and feeling all of that energy and emotion, yeah, that is something that's going to take me a little bit of time to process.
