For each trading desk, for each product that they trade.

So it would be like crude oil or it would be what we call light ends, which are petrol and jet fuel or LNG uh liquefied natural gas.

For each of these products you you maybe have like sixty to seventy traders.

So if you d add all the desks together, for the whole trading operation, it's maybe like a few hundreds.

And then if you add shipping, uh financing, risk management, all the sort of support functions.

Then he would be

You know, one or two thousand, which seems quite a lot, but at the same time these companies they have like a hundred thousand maybe people.

So it's a really small percentage.

So if you take the profit that they make and you divide by the number of people that they employ, it's a really high profit per head, you know.

In a good year, maybe like ten million dollars.

Yeah,

It it only works at scale.

So the Americans have tried before, the American majors.

And it didn't work because they did it half-heartedly.

They didn't give enough money, basically, to their traders.

So that limited the scale of the bets.

And also they did not give them enough independence.

They were forced to sell the barrels of the company, basically.

But they're much more serious about it now.

They're much more determined to do it.
