This is an evolutionary biologist, he's a doctor, he's a master in his field, asking really tough questions and he thinks it's already sentient.
There's this idea that AI, it's still okay because we're in control.
It doesn't have a conscience.
He's saying it's beyond that.
You could argue that it does.
So that's like Jarvis.
Which means that it could move outside of what we've programmed it to do and have its own autonomy.
Well, it could be that extreme.
Like feelings, emotions.
So it's lost?

What he's suggesting is that outside of what you can prompt it, it can actually move outside of the rules.
That's the easiest way to explain it.
Right.
And have its own thoughts and then, therefore, potentially have its own actions, which is scary.
Which we knew was going to happen.
Which we knew was the possibility to happen, but it wouldn't happen.
