Currently, I'm a professor at a school in Richmond, Virginia, and I teach consumer economics.
And one of my assignments for my students is that, hey, I want you to identify three major things.
What's your career, what state, and what is your margin?
When I say state and career, they get it.
But when I use the word margin, they're like, what do you mean by margin?
I'm like, yeah, let's have this conversation.
they're gonna give, someone's gonna offer you a job.
But if they offer you a job making, let's say $90,000 in New York, but the cost of living in New York is 90,000, you have no margin.
So what I want you to do is I want you to understand your biggest wealth building tool is gonna be margin.
Because if you could take that margin and then you can invest it, if you can start a business, if you can put it into stocks and bonds, now you can grow wealth a little bit.
But if you don't understand that decision that you made today,
to go to the right state to get the right job, that's the foundation, but that's not the end.
That's the beginning for you, but that's not the end all.
