Because that is profoundly concerning.

If we are a state that claims to put the welfare of children first, why are we not putting the welfare of girls at the top of our agenda?

It's a child safeguarding issue.

And it is just not of interest.

I mean, I'm genuinely shocked by that.

I'm bewildered by it.

No risk or impact assessment done.

I didn't want to know.

I didn't want to pay because, yes, because I feel that RTE does not address topics that are difficult.

Topics that are difficult.

If you just look at the incredible reaction of someone like, I think it's Sinead O'Sullivan, the MIT professor.

She's been writing recently about lots of different things.

I think the Irish Times has taken her on to writing.

And she writes so beautifully and eloquently about difficult things and people engage with it.

Or she seems to run a mile.

What's that saying?

You know, when you see a house on fire, if you're a good firefighter, you run towards the fire, not away from it.

If you see a good story, a journalist runs towards it, not away from it.

I'm just making the point that there's somebody who is addressing difficult subjects, OK?

RTÉ, I'm sure, has the wit and the talent to address difficult subjects.
