I see Reyes starting.
Sadly, and it pains me to say, that I see Jorge Sanchez starting because there are no many more options at right back, and maybe,
We have ourselves the starting goalkeeper for the Mexican national team in El Talarangel, although I truly believe that's still an open competition.
But it is concerning.
Diego Lainez, if he still plays well at Tigres, who else is gonna start at the right wing for Mexico?
He has a shot to become a starter in the World Cup.
And if that's the level of the team, it is absolutely concerning.
I know the rest of the ensemble are not here, especially Johan Vasquez, Cesar Montes.
I know we'll talk about Edson Alvarez, so we'll talk about him a little later.
But I just don't see difference makers.
I was not expecting to see great collective play by this team.
But at least I was expecting a couple of those players showing something, a different spark that can make Javier Aguirre say, listen, if we're not playing great collectively, at least if the ball reaches this guy, then something can happen.
And the Mexican national team right now doesn't have a player with those qualities.
And the second part of this is,
the level of the opposition wasn't great.
Bolivia, Panama, not great.
So that's why I feel it was extremely concerning what we saw from the national team in these two friendly matches.
Is it on the field?
