I think, um, I'd like to fit a lot, um, the guys on the team and just kind of the way I fit in with everyone and the staff and management, it just, it felt right.

And I was just, you know, hoping that we could find something to, uh, to get done.

Um, and then, you know, I do, I guess I do feel like things didn't really work out the way personally, um, that I wanted them to, um, at Edmonton there last year, but, um,

As a team, I think there's some unfinished business as well, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it and just keeping on continuing to grow my game to help the team.

Yeah, I mean, it's tough.

You get stuck in the business side of the game, and there's a lot of rules and finagling that can go around the rules, and I kind of got caught up in that right from the start of camp just with hurting my hip flexor, and so it was kind of one of those things I was just battling uphill the whole season, but I just kept my head on straight, kept working hard, and just kept playing until I'd get another chance, and

I came up and just played some good hockey.

I knew every single opportunity I'd get on the ice, I just had to make the most of it, and that was what I focused on.

Yeah, I mean, that's just who I am in general.

I've never really needed to, you know, I feel like change my game for anything.

It's just a matter of being consistent with my game and, you know, being physical is a big part of that.

And, you know, kind of playing with like my hair on fire a little bit, find ways to...

chip in on the score sheet now and then and then you know i think i do have some good scoring touch it's just um being around that net and a big part of it is just creating a little bit of chaos out there and um and like i said just being consistent with the game and then um you know this year just showing up confident and kind of starting the way i finished kind of last year

um yeah i think it's it's something to say you know everyone wants to you know be their best and everyone expects their best from each other and i think when you got one goal in mind it's you know you want you want everyone to be able to pull in the same the same rope in the same direction and um you know that that being said with the competition it's it's good to have and um you know i'm looking forward to it and and i i'm just focused on myself and

and doing what I can to help the team.

And I believe, yeah, that'll be in Edmonton.

Maybe, yeah.

I think he kind of nailed it there a little bit, a little bit more physical and a little bit more rough around the edges.

I think there's something to say, too, with the new hiring of our coach with Babcock.

I think that will play a big role into him utilizing all different areas of the lineup.
