Is it necessarily that women in perimenopause tend to gain weight or that the fat that they're already holding redistributes itself?
So how do my ladies out there prevent that?
If they want to.

Well, you said it's so true about caregiving that women tend to bear the brunt of caregiving in the family.
I grew up in a house of all boys, so we didn't have, there were no girls.
So I took care of my mom who had developed dementia at a relatively young age.
But I can imagine that in families where there's boys and girls, that girls would be more inclined to step into that caregiving role, which can be incredibly stressful and can have negative health consequences.

Do you think that the weight gain that tends to happen, is it a function of, like, is it a hormonal problem?
Is it a metabolic problem?
Or is it, you know, a function of what all humans tend to experience as they get older?
They just become more, as you alluded to, more sedentary.
Maybe they become less focused on, you know, diet and fitness as they might have focused on when they were younger.
Yeah, and like 20% are obese today.
So what are the dietary and lifestyle strategies then to counteract those changes?
As a clinician, what do you see as being the biggest mistakes that women tend to make from a dietary standpoint?
As am I, as am I. But I think it's super valuable.
Clinically, do you see a benefit, though, of increasing protein intake in your patients?
