Um, you know, in the beginning part of the year I I was battling a lot of things.

I wasn't healthy, I wasn't right.

Yeah, we didn't have other starters to plug holes with and you know, I s I could still go.

I was raised my hand, I'll I'll still go, I'll still run to the brick wall for you.

Unfortunately, uh you know, there's times where uh by doing that put the team in a worst position 'cause I was given up, you know, a bunch of runs and homers.

So um you know, I wasn't myself in those situations and I needed to get the uh I L and get right.

Uh now that I've gotten right, I've come back, you know, I I I know I can pitch.

I know I can go out there and compete.

and give the team a chance to win.

And so uh yeah part of I mean location I mean that is the the number one thing about pitching is locating the baseball and um you know I know that I know the onus is on location and uh doing that with every single pitch and so when I can do that uh especially when you can work with the catchers.

You know Val was back there today you know I'm getting a good report for him.

You know he's doing a great job for you know he's crash course rookie here and yet he's doing you know great things for me.

And you know some of

his ideas, you know, you might call this pitch one pitch too early.

I'm like, all right, we'll come right back to it another another pitch.

So really enjoy throwing to him and uh just want to keep churning and get the get going here and really build up and um you know we're right in this fight, uh in this playoff hunt.

We're in it.

So it's fun to be a part in a situation where every every game matters, every start matters and you know just want to go out there and compete and win.

No, I just let the game dictate and or my body dictate what I can and can't do.
