In fact, it was Kash Patel, this administration's FBI head, who severed the relationship.

So they were literally saying things in public they had to retract.

The evidence did not support the claims.

And in fact, it really seemed to be a way, in my view, of whitewashing white supremacy, of trying to flip the script and suggest the groups that are going after hate crimes were the ones who were trying to create the hate crimes.

Well, look, it's very clear that they're trying everything from trying to create new ways to take nonprofits, not for profit status, to try to claim that not for profits doing legitimate work can be labeled domestic terrorists and everything in its power to make it harder for

for not-for-profits to exist and to challenge their ability to do the things they can lawfully do.

And we are talking about basic civil rights, things that support everyone in every community, things that don't ask who you vote for or how you pray or who you pray to or what you believe.

I mean, work that's just literally about can you get an education?

Can you know what your voting rights are and show up and have your vote count?

all of the things we know everyone cares about, including whether you can see a doctor when you're sick.

So I say that because what is very clear that we can do about it is for everyone to say, just stop it.
